Being a teacher is very rewarding to me and I genuinely enjoy working with students, to see them develop knowledge and grow as people. I believe humans to be curious by nature with an inherent wish to learn. I think it is through others we get to know ourselves, become critical and reflective, and develop skills that are useful for us. I strive to nurture learning and growth through a reflective, experiential learning process that takes students beyond the traditional lecture settings. I emphasize the importance of learning how to learn, and to facilitate others' learning, and that critical reflection can be an empowering and perhaps even a transformative process. This approach is grounded in my conviction that learning is maximized when it is active, engaged, and collaborative.
